We love chicken pops. But it can cost you if you have to keep “popping” over to the fast food joint to pick some up!
These chicken pops are not only CHEAP but also fresh, yummy, crunchy, salty and quick to make. Is your mouth watering yet??
The only ingredients you’ll need (but you are welcome to add others too of course) are:
- 1 Leftover Chicken Fillet
- 1 Egg
- Breadcrumbs (see how to use leftover CRUSTS for these)
Some herbs lying around – a nice to have but not a MUST
Seasoning – a MUST (salt, pepper and chicken spice if you want)
Step 1
Mince up your chicken. Use a food processor or simply use the kitchen scissors…
Step 2
Whilst it chills in the fridge, organize your –
Production line:
- Oil heating up in a small saucepan
- Beaten egg in a bowl
- Bread crumbs in a shallow bowl for easy tossing
Are you ready to get messy?
Step 3
Now on your MARKS,
GET SET,
roll / dip / roll
roll / dip / roll
roll / dip / roll…… (THIS IS WHERE YOU DANCE)
Set aside in the fridge for 5 minutes
Now tumble them all together in your pot and fry until crispy (max 4 minutes)
Serving Suggestion:
KIDS VERSION – As they are
GROWN-UPS VERSION – Just add sweet potato fries
DATE NIGHT VERSION -Doll it up with some micro-greens, cream cheese and cucumber pickle
